Skin tags are growths that are harmless and begin as a small fleshy brown spot that are often raised from the skin on a small pedicle. These growths appear in the skin folds such as the neckline, under the breasts, under the arms, eyelids or in the groin. They are most common in pregnant women, overweight people and those having type 2 diabetes. They may become inflamed while shaving and bleed or agitated by clothing or jewelry.
