2021 has started on a positive note with the global launch of covid vaccine.Being the frontline worker, I am sure most of you have got both the shots and as this goes into press , i wish you and your family, the very best of health and happiness. We are hopeful, in duecourse of time we will be heading towar ds academic and social interactions in the physical format and meeting each other like we always did. The IADVL UP UK office is doing its best in liaison with the organising team to organise a phys orie on 22nd to 24th October 2021.

It gives me immense pleasure to address you as the Secretary of IADVL UPbUK. I thank you all for having already given me an opportunity to serve you as the Treasurer between 2016-2019 and with additional charge as Secretary between 2019-2021. We as an association have grown leaps and bounds ever since our inception. Now it has more than 800 members. Every year we have reviewed ourselves and improved our academic activities, strengthened our constitution and updated our records, I also assure you I would continue to give my best for the association in my tenure.
Dear Members,
We are all passing through unprecedented times. Life has suddenly thrown us into uncharted waters. On occasions, we are not very certain of how to go about handling situations. We all are longing for “precedented” era. Alas! That is unlikely to happen, at least in the near future. Any way, life must go on.
We were hopeful of having our annual meeting as a physical/hybrid event in Mussorriee in October...
WHO WE ARE
About six decades back there were a number of all india and regional organizations and societies dealing with various disciplines of dermatology , venereology and lep rology when the doyen of dermatology in India, Dr. R.N.Gupta of Lucknow. Then the President of Dermatology Society, India, took the initiative and united all the existing societies and associations under the banner of IADVL (Indian Association of Derma- tology, Venereology and Leprology).
